Happy Day!!

It really was a happy day here at Wazoo. I quilted a lap quilt of my own, after oiling and re-timing my machine. Everything went well, and tomorrow I will start on the few customer quilts here in Georgia.

Working on the first quilt in the new studio
I used a Walmart sheet for the backing . I like the sheets in the big box stores, not too tightly woven and often colorful.
Mr Wazoo hangs my ribbons while I finish up the quilt on my machine.
Here is my finished quilt
I used a wishbone type panto so I could finish it up quickly.
oWhile I was working on the quilt, Tim put up my ribbons. I am so happy about all the work he has done for the business. He's a rock! Now that the studio is up and running, he is toiling away in the garage, getting it cleared out and things put away.

I was especially pleased to find my doll , made in my image (oh dear!) by my friend Marcia. Aunt Sewphie is now perched on top of the bookcase, keeping watch over the activities in the studio. She is accompanied by Bucky Badger and a winter cardinal. I did hear her say she is missing Uncle Leo, who is upstairs guarding the front door. I may have to bring him down to keep the peace. We'll see.
Tomorrow is another quilting day and my first trip to the Blue Ridge quilt guild with my buddy Stephanie. What fun!

I forgot to mention my new window blinds! They are so nice, and make every room look better.

Aunt Sewphie, relaxing with her peeps.
