Next stop...Texas!

We returned to a jubilant welcome from Miss Molly, fresh from the kennel. After a couple of loads of wash, mowing the lawn, cleaning up a bit, and re-packing, we are ready to leave tomorrow for Texas.
I unpacked the purchases from Paducah and was happy I didn't crazy there. Mostly things I meant to buy, but some fun purchases, too.

My loot

Cute buttons, thread, indonesian fabrics and some bears for pillowcases.

1890s vintage blocks, Kaffe Fasste stripes and shot cottons

Japanese yukata, Indonesian batik, civil war fat quarters and we also bought a roll of Pellon 80/20 to try.

I got 15 vintage blocks. I wish there was one more, but I have already laid out fabric to make one.

Kay was interviewed by AQS for her award, and I tried to make her laugh, but she was too professional for that. She got to meet Ricky Timms, who awarded her the judge's choice award, and was happy to do so.

Kay's quilt," Daddy's Boy"

The interviewer was as nervous as Kay was!

Kay on You tube!

She's an old hat at this. She wins a lot!

Almost done.

After lunch, Kay held court at the quilt, answering questions and chatting with people. Mr Wazoo and I hit the vendors!
Tomorrow at 6 we'll be snug in the car and off to warmer climes. Molly doesn't care as long as she has her food and bed. I should be able to have a slideshow done while on the trip, and I will post it as soon as I can.
Wagon, Ho!
