Georgia Studio- 2015

We moved to Blairsville, Georgia in December 2014. The new studio was finished in January 2015. I am so blessed to have such a wonderful space to create and work in! Here are some photos:
I roll my fabric rather than fold it, because it is easy to remove and replace without disturbing the adjacent pieces. I saw this years ago on a Simply Quilts episode.

The sewing area has my books and supplies nearby.

Fat quarters and other small pieces are stored in the wire drawers from Ikea. My straight rulers live in a stand my handy brother in law made for me.

The fabric stash is stored in Ikea shelving units behind my Gammill. Pantos and cone thread are stored in shelves behind Mr Wazoo's machine.

I store strips of different widths in the bins on top of the shelves. My 'stick' mobile, from a challenge in Florida, made the trip okay and is hanging over my machine.

The office area is still a work in progress, but it is nice to finally have a paperwork space right in the studio! There is a TV for watching the Gammill service dvd as well as having streaming music. My notions cabinet is next to the bathroom doorway.

The design wall is just next to the sewing area and across from the cutting table. The portable quilt rack has the customer quilts on it and can easily be rolled out of the way.

and tools are behind the other Gammil, used by Mr Wazoo, my number one employee!

. We had a deep sink put in for bathing the dog.  My quilts are stored on wire shelves where they are convenient for trunk shows.

The cutting table is really two cabinets from Koala fastened together. Each end has drawers for office supplies and UFOs.

Bird clock, Golden fat quarter award and the barn quilt block Mr Wazoo gave me for Christmas.

The first quilt on the frame in the new studio!

Design wall, some of my ribbons and the temporary ironing board. Mr Wazoo is making a bigger surface for ironing.

Hey! There he is, hard at work hanging ribbons on the big blue wall!

The blinds just came!

My quilting angel, Sewphie, watches over the studio with her cardinal and Bucky Badger

  1. It is nice to see you have included a tour of your studio on your blog. I am SOOOO jealous of your work space, but know you make MUCH better use of it than I could or would. Enjoy - it's beautiful!
