Working and loving' it!

We both worked hard today and had a wonderful time together in the new studio. My first Blairsville customer came and dropped off three quilts. I'm stoked to get going on them, but need to do the few remaining Florida ones first. Mr Wazoo finished all of his pantograph quilts, so he is free to move on to something else until he gets some customers. I see a clean garage in our future.
I finished the back of the tee shirt quilt today, got it quilted and applied the binding. I have to do the tan and black quilt's binding first, but will have the tee shirt one done this weekend. I plan to watch the PBS version of Pride and Prejudice (all 8 hours of it) while I do handwork. Then, there will be the Super Bowl...I won't be watching the pre-game stuff, but we will watch the game after work.
Meanwhile, enjoy looking at some customer quilts!
Mr Wazoo did this black and tan beauty. I got the binding made and just have to do the hand sewing.

Another project quilted by Mr Wazoo. He's on fire!!

I like this pattern.

Yippee! Tee shirt quilt is quilted and ready for binding.

This is the back.

I used simple quilting to not detract from the busy patterns of the tee shirts.

I spy...animals! Tim did this one ,too

A very bright booth sample for my Florida customer.

Pretty and fun to quilt sweet.

I just love the wild colors.

Our latest addition to the studio.

Snow?!... Won't stop this girl!

Yesterday was the first time to go to the big guild here in Blairsville, and I wasn't going to let a skim of snow ruin it! Fortunately for me, the sun came out and the roads were fine. I miss snow...I'm from Wisconsin, and we know snow! This little dusting was enough to stir my northern soul and the nip in the air made me feel really alive. Hot weather just doesn't do it for me; I am a cold weather gal!
First light, and I see snowflakes!

Oh yeah...

I'm glad it was melting when I had to leave. I hate scraping windows.

Along the drive to guild, I snapped a picture of the mountains with snow still on top.

I love it! I know some people think this is bleak looking, but I think it is beautiful.

The guild meeting was nice, and Stephanie and I joined. We met some nice quilters and  had a good time chatting and seeing some quilts. I am especially looking forward to the Hugs and Kisses sew day where it is more relaxed and we actually get something accomplished. Meetings are fine, but I want to make something!
Here are the quilts we finished yesterday and today.
Tim did this baby quilt
I quilted this darling quilt
detail of the quilting the customer wanted.
This is one of my UFOs from a retreat. It is the disappearing pinwheel pattern from Missouri Star Quilt Co.
I quilted it light custom; no rulers or templates, just fun free motion!
Simple but nice!
Tim quilted this Kaffe project. I love the fabrics.
While I was off at guild, Tim painted and installed the peg-board for my specialty rulers.

Three finishes on a dreary day

Not much to say except BOOYAH! Three quilts done. Two for customers and one for charity. Tomorrow, (unless we have snow or ice) I go to guild for the first time!! Yippee!

I love the way the pantograph made this great texture!

Simple, yet effective.

My friend's hexie 'Science Project' quilt

Quilted like the picture on the pattern.

Colorful and modern looking.

I made this while teaching it in a class. Major fail with the fabrics! Both medium in value and just fall flat. A murky mess, but someone will like it to warm their lap in the nursing home.

I love this backing fabric. I bought it in Pennsylvania in an Amish shop. Pretty wild colors for men's shirting! It was 54 inches wide, so I bought yards of it and have used almost all of it. I guess I'll have to go back and see if they have any more...

Too bad...I like the two fabrics. The next one of this pattern will be scrappy, darks and lights.

Poor Molly, sick again and puking blood. These bouts only last a day or two, but are very hard on both pup and people. She laid low most of the day in the recliner near my machine.

In the groove at Wazoo!

It felt really nice to be back at the machine doing some custom work. This sweet quilt was hand embroidered by the customer. I love it!
The shabby chic quilt

Each block a bit different

Pretty embroidered blocks

Fun with borders. This quilt will be scalloped.

A peek at the back
Tim has been busy fixing the thread shelves and hanging up the towel bar and some more memorabilia. The room is really ours now!

Yup, another late day at work...but I love it!

I also got the binding done on the little green and gray quilt. I guess I will put it away until someone needs it!
