I have been working most days quilting and sewing. The other days I go to meetings or forays to fabric shops. It's a good life and I sleep well!
On the quilting front, the machine has had hiccups on and off, but I have managed to do at least one quilt a day. My backlog isn't daunting, so I'm okay with that. Let's take a look...
First, a repair. I replaced about 12 inches of the bias binding on a small quilt. There was also a tiny hole (see it in the rose?) I patched that later.
I had to put a pin where the hole was so I could find it again!
This customer quilt is one of my favorite patterns; brick and block. I have made three of these in my quilting journey, and may have to make another since seeing this one!
I used a feather swirl pattern for the quilting.
The customer's friend should be well pleased with this beautiful quilt.
Wow! I love the stripey pattern of this quilt. It will be. table cloth for the customer's daughter.
She requested a dense floral pattern for the quilting.
The backing is wonderful. I think it's an Anna Maria Horner fabric.
I finished the custom quilt I have been working on for two weeks.
The customer hand embroidered the chickens.
I used the chicken wire in the background to guide my quilting. The red sashings have a simple double' L-E' free motion design. In the outer border I marked parallel lines with half circles next to them.
Swirls in the center and feathers in the circles. I finished the border with one inch piano keys in black.
The cornerstones have a free hand design of crossed petals and linear fill.
The borders are black Grunge, that looks rather gray in this picture.

The back is a coordinating green floral.
This bright and happy Peanuts project is a charity quilt that the customer made with my all time favorite quick pattern, Warm Wishes.
I quilted it with bright yellow thread in a design called Yodel.
The backing is from Connecting Threads and is really soft.
I've been working hard on the Sunbonnet Sue quilt and only have the hand quilting to do where it is missing. I will have pictures to show next time. It has been a challenging endeavor!
The days are getting warmer even though it gets really cool at night. Mr Wazoo is happily tractoring around the yard, trimming, digging and raking. It's wonderful to see him outside where he is most happy.
The Johnny Jump Ups are clinging to the rocks.
We have a bumper crop of lily of the valley. I hope there will be loads of fragrant flowers to come.
I breathed a sigh of relief to see Mr W's Japanese maple leafing out unscathed by the freezing weather we had last month.
The pansies that I thought were dead revived and are blooming. It is nice to see their cute faces.
If you're not from the South, this is a wild azalea. They grow in the woods and add a burst of color in the Spring. We planted one a couple of years ago and this is the most blooms it has ever had!
The dogwood tree didn't bloom as vigorously as last year, but at least it isn't dead!
