Long time, no post!

So sorry about not posting...it has been busy here at Wazoo and I have been working on the same custom job for two weeks now. I'm making progress, but it is slow going.

It is the latest trend for customers to bring more than one quilt at a time. This is a bit stressful since I look at the growing queue and panic.I'm a lot slower these days as well as having issues with my machine's software. Deja vu all over again. Here is where we left off. Get a cookie and something to sip because this is going to have loads of pictures!

The first two are from the same customer.

This one is for a lucky granddaughter

The4 customer wanted something with hearts for the quilting. This panto is P.S., I love you.

It shows a bit on the back.

This panel had a pattern for the borders, but they didn't fit! The customer fiddled with them and finally got them right. She is giving this to the man who painted her house.

Rounded diamonds panto

Nice green back.

A nice Sunday-Funday quilt I made with a Kaffe Fassett jelly roll and some yellow grunge from my stash. The pattern is one of those post card patterns you see at the quilt shop check out. Villa Rosa. They have a website too, but I haven't had time to look at it.

I wish you could see this in person. It is so bright and cheerful!!

The panto is Ikat. One of my favorites.

I found this backing in the sale area in the Dahlonega shop.

Two more quilts from another customer. A big one and a table runner.

This quilt is so cute! All sewing notions fabric.

The panto is pinwheel something-or-other...I don't remember.

Pins on the back.

Yup, you've seen this before. She had more leftover fabric and made another table runner.

My son and daughter in law are in Japan to see her family. Grandma isn't doing well, so they wanted to see her before the inevitable comes.

My grandson at the Tokyo airport waiting for the next flight. Can you tell he loves rainbows?

Daughter in law with her Mom. The bowl has what looks like yams. They have a nice garden.
I remember trying to get comfortable sitting on the floor at that table! Looks like mom finally got a chair.

Back in the states, Mr Wazoo is so glad to see Spring is finally come. Here are a few shots of what's happening outside the studio.

Japanese maple and laughing Buddha

Common Iris

Lily of the valley

My peonies are about to explode with blooms.

Climbing roses

Bearded Iris

Mr W's beloved grass and the front garden

Mountain laurel starting to bloom

Here's my studio. Where the magic happens.

Another customer with two quilts. She is a newbie and is doing a great job with her piecing.

Can you guess what's going on here? Each block is a Sudoku game! How clever is that?
Can you figure them out? I don't even try...

I used a variegated thread of green, blue and purple in a swirly pattern.

Great backing!

Next, a graphic log cabin

I used the classic Baptist Fan panto.

Better view here.

Meanwhile, I have been working every day on this wonderful customer quilt. I am on the last row of the piecing, then two borders and I'm done. Huzzah!!!

Just a sneak peek for now

There will be more photos when I finish.

I'm starting a wool appliqué project. Tedious pattern tracing...

My pup, Penny

My front door sentiment.
See you on the flip side!!
