So Excited!! A big adventure this weekend!

My friend Carole and I are going on a quilt adventure tomorrow and Saturday. First to Lakeland and The Patchwork Pig quilt shop. Then, off to Tomorrow's Treasures Too, in Ocala. We'll spend the night there after our busy shopping day, and then we'll be off to Trenton on Saturday for the outdoor quilt and craft show. I've never been to an outdoor show and I am so excited to see it. We will take plenty of photos so I can post a blow by blow account of the whole wonderful adventure. Stay tuned for the details! Playing hooky never felt so decadently good!!!

More memory quilts, this time from shirts and ties

My friend, Carole, has been very busy making memory quilts for a family who lost two members in an accident. The quilts are made from the shirts and neckties of the men who passed away.
If you would ever like to have quilts like this, I highly recommend Carole's Quilts to help you. The business is listed in my links. Check it out. ( Carole made the quilts from the last blog post, too!)

Here are the quilts Carole made.

Deja vu...all over again!

I know these quilts look like I've posted a picture over and over, but they are all different! My friend made them for her client out of the mother's clothing. There is a quilt for each member of the family to remember their mother by. I think it is a wonderful and useful remembrance of the mother they love. I like quilting memory quilts, and I hope someday my quilts will give lasting memories to my own family.
