One day closer to Carolyn

Our daughter, Carolyn, is coming to visit for a few days! We have been cleaning and quilting in a fury to get ready for her Tuesday arrival. I don't see my family as much as I would like, as we all live so far apart; Oregon, Arizona, Wisconsin and Massachusetts...and us in Georgia! Anyway, I am over the moon to see her and have a few days to run around and show her the sights.
Carolyn took a selfie in Savannah
In the studio, things have been hopping. The snowbirds are flying back to Georgia, and with them comes more work for us. Mr Wazoo has been splitting his time between the quilting and the yard. He is quite the worker bee!
How cute is this one?!

Panto: Popcorn

This customer is way ahead on her Christmas quilting.

Panto: Holly berries

This quilt is for the customer's sister. I love it!

Panto: Angel wings
Just when we thought Spring was here, the weatherman called for a hard freeze.
All the new plants and tender plants were dutifully covered by Mr W at the end of his day.
I worked on a quilt too big for Mr Wazoo's machine, as well as a quilt that will be in a book about a year from now. That will be a first for me! The customer said she would tell me when it coms out.
This is a BIG quilt! Beautiful and big.

This shot is from the back of the machine.
I told you it was big.

Bold purple backing

Panto: Featherize

This quilt will someday be in a Martingale book.

Panto: Plaid squares

After work, I made the bits for the second half of the raffle quilt.

Blocks waiting to be pressed.

And today, I sewed the whole shebang together!!
I was able to get the first border on by 6 PM, and
will have to take on the other border next Sunday.

Tomorrow, I will be doing another HUGE quilt while Mr W ships off two quilts and does a bit of shopping before he gets to work here. I sure hope it warms up for Carolyn...I'm hoping for a trip to Brasstown Bald to show off the view. Molly is as unaffected as usual...she just wants me to open the door.
