Finishing up some projects and seeing double!!

Mr Wazoo slogged along on the gigantic quilt today, quietly cursing under his breath and growling every once in a while when the bobbin ran out, but he did get his part of the quilt finished. I'll take over tomorrow, and quilt the border.
I finished the custom job and also quilted a small wall quilt for another customer.
This little quilt is perfectly square and flat. A joy to quilt!

I wish the quilting on the back looked better in this picture. It is really nice!

This little quilt is only 25 inches square, but the shoo-fly in a shoo-fly pattern is quite charming.

Simple quilting for a clever quilt.

A peek at the back
Today, I quilted two identical (except for their batting choice) quilts for two customers who took a class at the local quilt shop. These are number three and four from the same class. I must say, they are the best constructed so far.

Friend number one's quilt

The digital pattern is called Yarn Tangle

Here is the backing

This is the second friend's quilt

Same quilting pattern and same backing!

After work, I strolled around the garden a bit, to see what the plants were doing after the big rainfall. We have had rain daily for over a week!

Mr W has his work cut out for him, weeding and trimming.
The butterfly bush is overtaking the right side of the bed!!

I must say, rainy days have the best clouds!

The back walk is finished, and Mr W put in this planter to brighten it up.

Kind of an odd day

This morning, I drove to the fabric shop to get something for my 'Secret Sister' gift for the retreat next week. I had to drop off two quilts, so I chalked it up to a delivery for work! I also got the fabric for the applique border on my 1930s quilt. I thought it was finished, but decided it needed something...that happens all the time.
It just needs one more border...
with vines and flowers and birds.
Mr Wazoo finished the quilt from yesterday, and then loaded a giant quilt. This one involves both of us. He will do the pantograph, and I will quilt the borders. Tag team quilting! I love it.
The finished quilt for a customer from Boston.
Her Mom lives here and will bind it and send it for a birthday gift. Nice!!

Panto: Popcorn

A peek at the back

112 x 112 inches. This one will take a while...
Meanwhile, I finished quilt number eight for the eight quilt lady! Yippee!! She, her friend, and her husband (someone had to carry the quilts...) came this afternoon and claimed the bounty of quilts. She dropped off another quilt, and everyone was happy.
The last of the eight quilts, all from one customer!

Digital panto: Flower Power

The backing is a nice, soft print from Connecting Threads.

I'm working on a custom job now, and hope to finish it tomorrow.

My day was interrupted by a sudden urge to cut off my hair. I went to the closest salon, and they did the deed. It feels so much better now that Summer is here. I'm ready!!

This and that...

Not a lot happening around the Wazoo house, but we do plug along, quilting and doing laundry, all the most glamorous things. Like bees and flowers!
Bzzzzzzz

Mr Wazoo finished the quilt he was working on and quilted another one while I was off at a meeting.
This little gem is the customer's first quilt.
She is an octogenerian with pluck!

Santa got the panto: Holly Berries

She did a great job.

Kaffe Fassett next on the rack

Aren't the colors yummy?

Its quilted with the panto: Splat, which complements the floral patterns.

Even the backing is Kaffe!
I'm not idle for long...I finished number seven for the eight quilt lady, and fixed the back of number eight!! I will be quilting that one tomorrow.

A really different dresden plate quilt.

I used a feathery panto.

The backing is pretty, too.
On Sunday, I squeezed in a charity quilt for the Heart to Heart group.

This is a great scrappy quilt.

My machine came with this meander panto. Works well on this type quilt.

It came out really soft.
Also on Sunday, I put together this little quilt top. It will have flower wreaths embroidered in the plain squares. I'll do that after I finish quilting it.

Looks like a nice lap quilt

For Barbie!!
And since we're looking at minis, here is the storm at sea, all done.
