Just a teaser of the DPQG raffle quilt

I'm not supposed to show the whole quilt yet, so I am posting a few teaser photos to tide you over until it is finished. I finished the interior  and the inner border, and have the quilt turned and ready to do the side outer borders tomorrow. Yippee!! Then it's off the rack and getting a sleeve and binding. Stay tuned for more. Until then, enjoy the bits of quilt I can show.
Of course I had to show part of the Wisconsin block!

Custom quilting on a commissioned quilt, Yikes!

My friend Carole over at Carole's quilts had a commission to re-make a wedding quilt for a customer's anniversary, and it turned out stunning. The quilting was per her direction, including the couple's names and anniversary date. It is a huge quilt, but a very beautiful one. Wish it was mine...
Oh well, we keep on going and quilting our little brains out! I just got the raffle quilt from my evening guild to quilt, and I can't wait to start. A couple of other quilts first and then I will be immersed in the guild project. Woo hoo!

No, We're not unconscious...just busy!

I realized this week that I hadn't blogged for awhile, so here I am...playing catch up. We have soooo much work to do here before the mass exodus of the snowbirds. Mr Wazoo quilts every day and I quilt on the days when I don't have guild or my other sewing group. Only Molly gets to loll around and look out the window! I did take some time last week, after the day's work was done, to quilt a couple of my UFOs and get the bindings on. When I tidied up the studio a couple of weeks ago, I found 11 UFOs and over 30 unquilted tops. Oh dear. I think it's time to get the quilting mojo going and get'em done!
Enjoy some pictures, and I'll get busy with making pizza for dinner. Yum.

A week's work at WAZOO

We have been busy getting quilts finished for snowbird customers, as well as working on the backlog. There isn't much news because of it. I guess you could call us dull, indeed!
Except for the Gulf Coast Uni. Eagles going to the sweet sixteen, it is business as usual in Southwest Florida. GO EAGLES!!
Here are some of the quilt from last week.

Suwannee Valley Quilt and craft festival

What a better way to spend a day than having a road trip to Trenton, FL for the annual outdoor quilt show? The whole town turns into a crafty and quilty wonderland ours for the taking. Three friends and I arrived early in the morning and stayed until closing enjoying the beautiful weather, antique cars, crafts and mostly the quilts. I hope to go there again next year. Until then, you take a look at the fun we had.
