Mid year review

Over at Meadow Girl Designs blog, I was struck by her mid-year review of what she has accomplished so far in 2016. I decided to look back and see just what I have done, and I am gobsmacked by the result! Granted, having Mr Wazoo doing the pantograph quilts is a big help in that it frees my time up for custom work and making quilts of my own.
There were thirty two quilted projects from start to finish, twelve restoration/repairs, and thirty one custom quilted customer projects. I don't count pantograph customers because I only do the ones too big for Mr W's machine...king sized ones. I think I was busier than I thought!
Here is a pictorial list of quilts I made in the first six months of this year.

As for this week, I have been doing some quilting on tops my sister made. We still have several to do, but I do have to keep working on custom orders, so Mr Wazoo is doing the sister quilts.
On the weekend, I did pull out some old blocks I had embroidered almost 40 years ago when my kids were small, and never made them into anything. Just for fun, I added some sashing and fun borders and made a nice sized baby quilt.

When you don't have TV, you find other amusements.
Mine was crewel embroidery and redwork.

I did add red sashing to finish the quilt.

My next serious project will be a quilt I have been wanting to make for years, and am just now ready to commit to. It has a load of applique, so it will take a while. You'll have to stay tuned for that one!
Now, I have to go back to work on a lovely Judy Niemeyer customer project!
