Working toward a goal

Tick, tick, tick...time is passing quickly here at Wazoo, and we are trying to get as much work done as possible before taking off for a much needed vacation. The weather is keeping Mr Wazoo's nose to the grindstone, being too cold and rainy to work in the yard. Sometimes bad weather is a good thing!
We have both been doing customer projects, reducing the load and preparing for a two week hiatus. Here are a few of the quilts that are out the door from the last few days.

We love tee shirt quilts! Happy memories stitched with love by Mamas and Grandmas.

This one has photos, too. Very special to the recipient!
Panto: Dazzle

The backing is primarily this pretty horse print.

I was charged with quilting a couple of Comfort quilts for guild members who are having a tough time. They are all so cheerful and made with soothing colors.

I use the digital panto: Flower Power for these.

The backing is from my stash.
Wow! This eye popping quilt is my favorite of the week!
Panto: Yodel

Great backing, too!

Another comfort quilt. I love the fabrics in this one.

Same panto: Flower Power

Pretty yellow flowers on the back.

This was a 'hurry-up' project. The customer is leaving tomorrow, and needed it done quickly.

It is for her Mom, and I used the panto: Beauty, for the quilting

Gorgeous backing!
My Block of the Month class finishes up on Monday, so I spent some time getting my quilt top assembled and ready for the big reveal. At this point, I will be there for support, hoping someone in the group will finish their quilt, too.

My top is finished, and just needs some quilting!

I used two fabrics for sashing; one is red with letters on it, and the other is black with small red cherries. The inner border is this red and white stripe, and the final border, (my favorite fabric), big cherries and white dots. I'll try to get it quilted and bound later today.

The last task of the day was loading this king sized quilt top  made from African fabrics. It will be custom quilted with African motifs in the 196 black squares. That should take a few minutes...ha ha ha. The customer's vision is clear, and I will do my best to carry it out. Most of it will be done after we get home from Texas.

Beautiful...and huge!
It is another gray, chilly day, so I think we'll get a lot of work done. I'll be in the studio, doing what makes me happy. Quilting!
