Funday-Sunday and workday Monday

Yesterday, I quilted a QOV while I finished making the blocks for another Stars over Minoqua quilt. I really like this pattern because it goes together easily and looks great every time! I cut 21- 10" squares of bright batiks from the stash to go with a half layer cake stack. I got the black and white fabrics as a Secret Santa gift at guild one year. I'm making a dent in my stash...a small dent.

Quilt of Valor

Panto: Simply Stars

After the QOV, I loaded a really big quilt, and that took the rest of the day to do.

The customer had this top put away for a while, and decided to get it quilted and out of her custody. She would like to donate it to a library, or somewhere similar. They had better have a giant wall for this one!

Panto: Espalier

Nice backing. All the fabrics are from Thimbleberries.

I got the blocks made yesterday, and the first six rows sewn but not joined.

Today I finished the last row and got everything sewn together.

I was going to add a border, but I like it fine just like this.
The back is made and so is the binding! Tomorrow, I'll get it quilted.

I worked on another huge quilt today. This one is all flannel and quilted up soft and snuggly. The customer likes wool batting, and that makes for a warm, cozy quilt!

The focus fabric looks great with the array of fabrics in the propeller points.

Panto: Cotton Flowers

This fabric is beautiful!

Mr Wazoo took advantage of the lovely weather on Sunday to play in the yard. I took follow up pictures of my lily of the valley and peonies. Wow! They took off once the sun came out. Mr W put the hoops on the peonies today to hold them up. I'm excited to see them blooming again!

Lily of the valley with a couple of rogue hosta mixed in. These pictures are before the mulching was done.

The peonies (with the red stalks) already have some buds.

One lone cluster of lilac this year. It's pitiful, but I won't give up on this plant.

The dogwood is about half bloomed, and the small pink dogwood we planted a couple of yers ago is too.
Spring is coming!
