Yesterday, I needed to put in another plea for help with my mis-behaving Millie. I am convinced she just doesn't like me! After the discussion with the techie, Mr Wazoo helped me by changing the leg motor and tightening the pully for the belt. After he finished, I was able to continue quilting the second Day of the Dead quilt, but not until I picked out the row I sewed before the fix was done. Here is the progress...
Mr Wazoo put on and adjusted the new motor.
New and old motors.
Here is ther quilt without the borders. I finished it and started the quilting yesterday.
All done! I put the binding on right away and took pictures of both quilts together.
Rounded diamond pnto
Same wide back.
Here are both quilts.
This was a big project! I had two blocks left over, so I am making a surprise for the customer.
Stay tuned!
I also finished another charity quilt to hand in to the evening guild. They need bed size quilts for homeless or abused people they care for.
With one row to go, I had to quit. My back is a nuisance every day...
I finished the quilting the next day
panto: Branching out
Backing came from my stash.
Meanwhile, I cut out a couple of small charity quilts to give to the day guild. Simple patterns that shouldn't take long to sew.
Two quilts cut out and ready to piece.
I got this far before obeying my back and stopping.
I may be slow, but I will eventually get them done!
The other thing the techie said was to convert all my patterns to a friendlier format. I have hundreds of patterns, and it will take some time to do. I had better get back to the studio and get started. Until later, don't give up on me!
